  • Our community grieves the death, June 20, of Norm Wettlaufer at the age of 72. We shall celebrate his life on Monday, June 23, at 11 am.

  • This morning, we learn some terrific news: On Wednesday, June 18, Council approved in principle some concept drawings for a Second Century Project having five goals: 1. to address the need for a new sanitary sewage line; 2. to address the issue of the settling floor in Trinity Hall; 3. to address the need for a more hospitable kitchen; 4. to address the need for additional program space; 5. to mark the 100th anniversary of Trinity's sanctuary (1910-2010).

Council has struck a Second Century Project Task Group composed of Flex Bender (Council chair), Pat Schmetzer (Council - hospitality), Bill Lindner (Council - property), Rick Ritz (at large - stewardship), Darrin Gueguen (at large - plumbing/mechanical) and Pastors André Lavergne & Anne Anderson (ex officio). The Task Group will meet for the first time on Wednesday, July 2, to get ourselves up to steam and to begin some significant summer work. The Task Group will make a first report to Council in August with some ideas around how to proceed.

Already, a number of Bruce Hammer memorial contributions have served to start a Second Century Project Fund (a.k.a. Kitchen Fund). We are grateful to Bruce's family for their thoughtfulness. We also want to express a word of profound thanks to Michel Gascon who has been assisting Council by producing concept drawings for our project.
