Sunday Worship
Trinity's Anchor Community gathers for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. Under
the direction of
Director of Music Gywin Murray, the Trinity Choir supports this organ-based service. Prior to
the liturgy, the presiding minister offers a parish ministry update. This takes place at
about 9:20 am. Trinity's Sunday morning liturgy is a lively service wherein people of all
ages --and lots of
infants and children!-- find a home. Guests are always welcome.
Trinity's Sanctuary Community gathers on Sunday mornings at 11:30 am followed by an
occasional
community meal at 12:30 noon. This informal and simple liturgy is supported by a variety of
musicians including
pianists, guitarists and drummers. Exploration of God's Word often takes the form of a
pastor-led
conversation --rather than a sermon or homily-- about the day's Scriptures.
Between the services, our community gathers for coffee and juice in the Katie Luther Room. From the Sunday after Labour Day through to the Victoria Day Weekend, a Nurturing Faith program is offered for all ages. Nurturing Faith includes adult learning classes for older folks and a Faith Adventures program with video theatre, drama & story-telling, arts & crafts and music for children and youth. For information about Trinity's Nurturing Faith program (learning ministries for all ages), contact Pastor Anderson.
Seasonal Services
During lent, Holy Week and at Easter and Christmas, Trinity offers a variety of occasional and seasonal services to observe or celebrate the season or event.
Many Ministers
Under the direction of Director of Music Gywin Murray, Trinity's worship is enriched by the fine work our Trinity Choir and occasional offerings of children and soloists. A Sanctuary Choir or Band gathered by Lisa Hagen rounds out our program of music for such special occasions as our Easter Vigil of CHristmas services.
Our worship life is supported by
an Altar Guild, a number of occasional musicians and a large community of assisting
ministers,
acolytes, greeters/hosts and ushers.
Meal of the Baptized
At Trinity Church we believe the Sacrament of Holy Communion to be central to weekly worship and the birthright of the baptized. Every Sunday, the baptized of all ages and communities-of-origin are welcomed at our table.
